#77 Washington Street!!

The S&M shown in post #25 looks to be longer than the 3 1/2" 2OT or GEC Washington Jack. To me making it longer makes it look not quite as attractive.
It always amazes me how with folding knives just a slight change in size or proportions can make a big change in the appeal of the knife. Size, proportions, and shape all have to be just right for a knife to stand out as "WOW!".
The Washington Jack is a "WOW!"

Edit: Im a little slow this evening. Misread.

It certainly is larger than the WJ it's actually 4 1/2 inches long. WJ is 3 5/8.

The Washington Jack is about the same size as the Schrade 2OT and the jack knife from the Queen Heritage series.
The S&M is longer and heavier; it's about the same length and heft as the Queen City jack from a few years ago.

The shorter knives are what I would prefer for pocket carry; the additional length of the S&M makes it look more 'stately,' like the column on a historic mansion.
The Queen City jack is more rounded and lacks the fluted bolster, so it's heft and size reminds me more of a working knife.

But I certainly understand what you mean about proportions and aesthetics; I stay clear of Congress patterns because they look back-broken. And the #25 Barlows look stubby. :)

hmm is that different from the 77 that was the 2014? cause im disappointed i just missed it on the fs

The WJ and the 2014 knife are both built on the same 77 frame. The bolsters being the main difference.

Will all covers in this run have the diamond shield? I'm curious because I saw that the 54 and 85 hjs did not but the 15s did.

Yes, they will all have the Diamond Shield. Both the WJs and the HJs!
We are just working on the etches and labels now . . . . . . . . . . . .

Will the CC blade stamp be making an appearance again or was that only for the Ancients?

The 54 and 85 harness jacks predate the diamond shield on Charlie's knives. Here's a history of Charlie's earlier harness jacks:

Thank you, Jake and Charlie, for the responses. Also, thanks for the link. That was a good little history on the return of the HJ.
The diamond shield is probabely one of my favorate shields GEC has put out, so that was the answer I was hoping for.

Here they are:
The Spear Jack has the same etch as the first (clip) edition:

The Harness Jack/Punch Jack (both names are correct) has a slight variation:

As Jake said nice etches, the circle in the middle should be your three legged emblem though Charlie.

Thanks for bringing up that picture, Jake!! I was just looking for it!
That "George" button was an inside joke at the factory, but got "leaked" to me by a good friend there!
There were only two made.
I think the only Washington version missing is the Cocobola in that picture.

I agree, rye_a, this is getting exciting!

I missed out on this particular pre-order/early reserve with Mike, but you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be on the look out for one of these to pop up!

Is there a reason that the Ivory Bone was used this run instead of the Polished Stag? I don't think you can go wrong with either cover, and the Ivory Bone in this run looks especially nice, but the Polished Stag was unique and I thought it turned out really well. Just curious as to why it was dropped and whether or not we'll be seeing it again in future runs.
