8 months with the Spyderco ZDP-189 FRN Stretch (warning: very picture heavy!)

Most excellent unbiased review.
Bringing this back to the forefront. Too many people these days afraid of corrosion on their ZDP-189. This goes to show it should be of little concern.

I wonder how that knife is doing now still swimming... :p

Yeah ZDP is not bad at all if you clean it after use in my experience.

It will stain and then pit though if you leave crud on the blade for long periods of time. My endura has a pit right on the spine of the blade; it'll be hard to polish it out... :( It sees daily use; not my exclusive folder for use though. ;)

Yeah that's a deep pit right there by the Spydie, almost looks like it could snag on your pocket, haha. ;)

LOL! I meant on the top of the spine but that's much funnier...;)

It is a weird beauty mark of sorts; not sure how it got there but it's definitely not going away easily.

Look out! It's a zombie thread! Lol but I have to say a big thank you to the OP. I've been doing so much shopping around the past week trying to decide what knife to purchase for my new edc (long story, had to unload pretty much all of my gear a few months back now starting over) and this review put this knife on my radar and up front in the running. So, thanks op, for my new edc!
