805 & S30v

I have blade steel and micarta. I got 154CPM cause I have not worked with s30v yet. After I come up with a working rendition, I will move up in steel. Still searching for a template.
 
OK, I took one of the pics from the previous page, and shrank the photo till the blade was around 9 1/8" OAL spec (more or less), then printed. PRESTO, A template!! Question. How thick is the blade steel? I so didnt think about that one bit. The stuff I have is 5/32". Boy do I look like an amateur!!:foot:

1/8 on an 805
 
I figured that.. Oh well, I can order the gunstock checkering kit with the thinner steel.
 
After some conversation and thought, I felt the need to mention that my design will be similar to the 805, but will not be an EXACT replica of the 805. It is not polite to step on people's toes! Although I made a template from a pic, I am only using it as a ballpark.
