Didnt work again. Anyone know if I can post pics from flickr? I am good with blades but not computers.:)
 
Upload the pictures to imageshack.us.

You can upload pictures from your desktop, choose the resolution that is best for message-boards.....it should say next to the resolution (640 x 480 or 480 x 320???). Once uploaded, it will give you the code needed to paste into the forum....choose the message-board code....should start with a (IMG) tag.
 
I am thinking about rounding off the prybar on my HEST. I don't carry around because it is always getting stuck on something. It seems like a good idea in theory, but not practical for an EDC/on the body carry. I usually toss it in a bag.
 
That came out great.....especially the DPx X side of the HEST. The grapefruit trick is awesome! You just make a thin slice and lay it on?

Ace hardware extra strength stripper.
clean very well with gray scouring pad and dishsoap.
Slice up some grapefruit and lay it out on a cutting board, put the knife on the slices, then put slices over the top of knife, I then use a cookie sheet with a 20lb weight on top to compress it all down for good contact of the grapefruit, wait 4-5 hours and voila! cool patina.
 
Yes I agree the best patina I've seen yet. I see you used a grapefruit for this. Can you give some exacting details on how you did this, including stripping, when you have a chance? All the patinas I have seen were just ok and I never wanted to try this. You have me wanting to try this. Thanks....
 
Thanks guys! I have tried many many different things for patinas but in my opinion grapefruit slices are the best by far.
