830 lock problems

Someone sent a private message to me about my comments above and their message was received, read and thought about. Perhaps it was a post I should have not written. I wrote it as much a forum member as a moderator. But with the Albatross of Moderator hanging around my neck , I should be careful what I comment on, no matter the conversation. You guys replies were within parameters of decent forum type conversations. No one lost it and typed 'fightin' words' and you tried to point out that one's single knife experience does not damn a model or a company. I will say I am sorry if anyone has been offended, on either end. But, am going to leave the original statements so you know what this is about. I do believe the Buck Forum should be a group of folks that are welcoming people who are reasonable and not looking to cause trouble for entertainment. I call you Buck people to quickly discern the bad purposes and not fight with words but to fight with silence to those who would cause us trouble. I will be careful in comments in future because of the moderator harness I wear. I thank the person that commented for taking the time for discussion. We will have to work in out together..

For the record.....

Just because you are a moderator, does not mean that you can't voice your opinion!!
In fact, moderators in forums are usually chosen for their valuable knowledge and level headed discussion techniques.
This is why I should never be a moderator....lol (I cannot be trusted to remain neutral or level headed all the time)

As for the op.... I almost messaged him to offer to buy the knife in question, but decided not to because refusal to get it repaired was odd beyond belief..... plus there were no photos..... again.... no photos.... :rolleyes:

For my part nothing has happened bad , I was just undergoing a little community action training to keep my certification current. If I don't once in a while trip up and recover , as DC says I would not be involved. I would be interested on why you feel that way in your post, anyone should feel free to contact me to voice your concerns or ideas. I am a work in progress.

Oh my! So sorry 300, my apologies, that was not aimed at you at all. Looking at it now, I have pie on my face and big mouthful of foot. My wife is always telling me I have no sense of humor, I should listen to her more often.

My friend, when I saw your post there was no picture showing, only one of those boxes where a photo was removed from a photo hosting site. I bet no one saw it. That was why I was asking what you thought. No problems, my wife was defining the definition of kook this morning and I was part of the definition. So I went on to define the crazy kook and the classy kook. She said I fell somewhere in the middle.....300
 
It must have been raining there this morning. We have those type discussions during winter storms. But then it clears up, I shine the Colonel's shoes, make my wife coffee, go out to cut wood and all is well by the time I return. At least your approachable. DM

Where you live, if you walk to far from home without a gun a mountain lion with get you...ha Gives a new aspect to a brisk walk in the country....but I would welcome it myself.....300
