Just remembered the discussion about center balance point of 940 vs 940-1, so here it is.

It did move toward the tip of the blade, about 1/8". Here is the picture where the red line indicates where the knife balances.

I received mine today, and I have to say, I'm very happy. Except for a slightly gritty initial feeling in the pivot. The knife was as close to perfect as any other high $ production knife I have owned. I just blew it out with compressed air, one drop of Hoppe's #9 in the pivot and a minuscule amount of tightening of the pivot, plus some thread binder and I was ready to go.

Good & useful pic. You can feel that they're a little different but the graphic presentation shows that difference nicely.
