940 or Small Sebenza. You can only have one of them. Which is it?

I'll take a Sebbie over the 940. I haven't owned either but I would rather have the pride of ownership of the Reeve over a BM, all things being equal.

Own both. The 940 has seen my pocket maybe five times. Its rare for my small Sebenza to go five days out of my pocket. Easy pick for me, Small Sebenza for sure.

I own multiple CRKs, including a small sebenza, and benchmades and love them both. I would choose the small sebenza for the reasons others have stated such as the ability to take it apart and reassemble easily, CRK spa, and overall build quality. But right now I’m carrying a benchmade because after breaking in a new sebenza, I have a sore thumb that is indented and pretty painful. Never had that happen with an axis lock. So you caught me at a time my vote got a lot closer on this one than it would usually be.

I've handled a few 940s, and have a small Sebenza. It's not even close for me, Sebenza wins this argument. The build quality is orders of magnitude better.

Small sebenza. My first benchmade, a 940 broke the axis spring in less than a month.
They fixed it pronto, but then their extreme political views came into play . It just doesn't get it now for me .

Small Sebenza, even if taking price into account. Love the look and feel of the 940 but just can't tolerate the anodized aluminum. First time I carried mine it ended up scratched all to heck looking like crap. I know there are carbon fiber and g-10 variations now but the original soured me on the whole thing. The only competition my small micarta 21 has now for 3" EDC is my Native LW.
