I buy knives to use, and whatever it is, will be used, regardless what it costs or looks like.
If a knife can't knife, i dont want or need it. Hard to refute wisdom:
"we have all these knives but we can only use 1(one) at a time"

I use most of my knives, I do have a few that I do not use for a number of reasons. Some dont fit a need I have. 8" blade bowies do not get used much but I do use it to chop up boxes. Really polished or almost "Art" knives I use lightly if at all.

Would you hate me if I said I had two perfect (for me) knives? The Crucarta Native Chief from Spyderco and my Spartan Harsey Folder. I love how they look/feel/cut/carry. Honestly, I could be happy for the rest of my days with just those, and I'm planning a massive reduction in my collection as a result.

I would never hate the biggest kid in class. I'd get him to cover my six.

I don't have many knives.... unless you count unfinished ones.

All my kitchen cutting is done by my Arcolina in .06" 15N20 at 61 HRC.

All my EDC cutting is done by one of my two modded Spyderco Resiliences in 8Cr13MoV (which one depending on whether I am at home, or away - though they are identifcal aside from one usually being notably dusty) or my Edge-C in MagnaCut at 62 HRC.
