Interesting find! Not a lot of blade on those, I bet the Bobby’s would still give you a clatter over carrying one lol.

nic-a-date is a substance used to help clear up dates on buffalo nickels due to the placement of the date on the coin. Unfortunately for those coins, once treated they are rendered valueless numismatically. However, dateless buffalo nickels have their purposes. Basically its ferric chloride, but the interaction with the metal might reveal more closely the stamp on ur tang there.
