This heavily-worn knife by Abram Brooksbank was originally a Lambsfoot, and is probably the oldest I have, as well as the shortest at a tad under 3 1/2". It originally looked like this.

I like the sound of a small (3-3.5 inch) single blade lambsfoot with no shield and rat tail bolster. It would definitely be different than any other forum knife. I've had a lambsfoot on my list for awhile, but don't come across them too often.

The two-blade versions are less common here, but still widely available. But I thought both versions were very far from common in the US?

I like the return to your old self BTW (different pic, I know) :D

Well, I was thinking of doing something that was more rare.... Kinda like the 2013 Congress Jack. A configuration that was less often seen than the Congress or Half Congress patterns.

Are there other Lambfoot configurations that are even less seen?

I like it too. I meant to do it a long time ago, but I just didn't. I prefer Woodrow F Call to Anton Chigurh.

Yes, definitely no shield, they just don't fit

Just single blade, and with pen. Trevor Ablett may have mixed them up a bit (possibly), but if so, that was because he only bought in full-size blades. Frames vary a little. A Swayback frame looks pretty good, particularly for a single

Yeah, me too! :D

I found this 3 1/2" two-blader in a box of rusty old tools in the market yesterday, priced at £1.

I'm not sure I wasn't ripped-off!

Holy smokes, lambsfoot with an awl/spike would be UNREAL!!!

I think you were Jack! That poor Sheepsfoot blade is whittled down to barely a lamb!! :D

I've had several used down to absolute points, r8shell has a couple of them I think, they make pretty good awls! :D

They get like that because, once they've tried one, nobody wants to say goodbye to a Lambsfoot! :p ;)

I'm still pining for a New England Whaler! I just felt y'all deserved a Lambsfoot! ;) :D

PunchFoot :D

Thanks for sharing the pics Jack!! So a Lamb's Foot with a pen/clip on a single spring could be an awesome knife! Bring it on :)

I don't see how it could be on a single spring. It's a Jack Knife pattern.
