Thanks, Brett! I looked around and did not find an exact match...but o so close:thumbup:

It has indeed shipped and great communication too. It's probably a day out. I sure hope so. I got one in cocobolo ..fingers crossed they picked a good one for me :eek:

They sure made some very nice Cocobolos my friend . I think you will really like the Muskrat Clip Gevo !!! It is pinchable and pretty nicely finished .

I think so..the clip is what sold me and I just thought the wood, the cloud shield, and bolsters just made a great looking knife. And its a great size too.

Great picture! The pistol looks like one my dad misses to this day. I saw it once before it was stolen. Can you please tell me the make and model?[/QUOTE/]

Gevo it's a H and R top break made in 1909ish if I remember correctly it's chambered 32 Smith and Wesson. I bought at a gun show last year, for some reason I always wanted one. This one was in really good condition. Usually they are pretty beat up. And you can still find ammo for them pretty easily and cheap!

Thank you so much for the info. You have great taste in pistol, knives and coins :D:thumbup:

My new 74 Yellow Rose. Photos taken outdoors in shade. No editing except for a small crop. The colors are even on both sides with a few small spots. The only lightening I can see occurs along the bare butt end. To my eyes that's probably due to the curvature of the bone. If you want to find "problems" I guess you can. But I can find them in anything if I try hard enough. On a scale of 1-10, it gets a 9.5 ( there are no 10s).

Its a gorgeous Rose, Alan! The excitement is building to get mine in hand. Thanks for sharing

Thanks Gevo, I'm guessing the long time it's taken to get them out was all the time they took making them right. Except for a few dye job problems, they look to have hit the nail on the head with this run.

I sure hope your right, Alan! I so want to like my first 74. I usually only go for old knives but want to embrace the new:D

I'd be real optimistic. I have a stainless 74 in Orange Delrin that was called a 'second' but is as good as it gets.

I am not sure why you only rate that as only a 9.5 , but it is your knife . I do not consider the lightness of the dye in some areas on those Yellow Roses a problem at all . But that is my opinion and taste. I am very glad that you were able to even get a Yellow Rose my friend .

I think you are going to find that your 74 is going to come with velcro on it Gevo . Once it goes into your pocket , you will not be able to get it out . That is : After you finally get done Coon Finger'n and Chicken Eye'n it . If you would like a Pocket Slip for it , let me know . I have one for you my friend .

Mostly because the small stuff that bothers other people I do not even look for. Also, my eyesight could be better. I do know what I like though, and I like this. I gave it a 9.5 assuming that there's always room for improvement. I believe in voting with my wallet and this one proves it.

I like velcro...lol. You're too kind, my friend! I have one I made sitting right in front of me waiting for its arrival :D It is expected tomorrow  Thanks for your kindness :D:cool::thumbup:

The more I ogle & fondle these Stallions, the more I think these might be the closest thing GEC ever comes to a Lannys Clip. No wonder they've sold through what seemed to be an enormous run of them at numerous dealers so quickly

Just got my cougar clawed bone and it was love at first sight. I was hoping for a darker one, never dreamed I could get such lovely appaloosa colors and awesome "spinal" texture!
