A Bark River question

Thanks guys. I don't know if this cleared things up or confused me more. I don't use knives in the Extra Large category much but it's nice to have one available. Right now I usually use the Tram for bigger stuff.

It was cheaper back before I learned to do the convex edged.:D

Of the Barkies in current production, I would choose:

Pro Caper; a great little knife (I have the Custom Pro Drop Point version of this knife), one of the Pro Scalpels (I or II) also fits the bill.

Escort Boot Knife; small enough to EDC but cuts like a bigger tool.

Fox River or Northstar; very similar knives, the FR more of a hunters blade, the NS more of a bushcrafters (I carry a Custom Recurve Fox River, kind of the best of both worlds).

The Canadian Camp Knife or Rogue Bowie; both excellent large knives (though personally I really like the Big-Sky Camp Knife too).

little creek, bravo 1, hudson bay camp knife and golok. unfortunatly, i dont actuallt own any of these, but these look the best to me.

Here are my choices:

Small- TUSK, kinda cheating putting this one in the small catagory cause it ain't so small but is my EDC knife so it gets used a ton. Very useful knife.

Medium- Canadian Special, if I could for some God awful reason I could only own one Bark River knife this would be the one. Great fit for my paws and no the finger groves don't interfere with any grip that I need to use.

Large- Rogue, now this is a real mans knife. Works good in multiple uses for such a big chunk of steel, great balance, and feels like an extension of my arm. If I was choosing a knife to use as a weapon this would be the one.

Extra Large- I presently don't have one that I'd put in this catagory. I've been eye balling the Hudson Bay and the Golok. The only reasons I don't own one of either yet are they're sorta spendy and some of the Goloks reportedly are slightly bent from heat treat so I'm not gonna drop 200 of my clams on a blade that could be bent from the maker if it has a bend I want to be the one to bend it.

Little Creek
Woodland Special
Canadian Special
Golok

Tough to choose. You could replace any of those with different knives and not miss a beat. But, those are 4 that I would grab to go out into the woods.

I have the PSK for my small and the Fox River for my medium. I plan on getting the Bravo2 for my large, no idea on the xtra large though.

I got to handle the new Fox River recurve, that knife is awesome. Has a great contour in the handle!
