I too say the 16, unless you have big hands. I love that knife, but the handles are too small for me.
But now you have the BK16 XXL right?

A murse is a MANLY purse, tool box, field bag, etc....... Working on a really cool design that will edc your tablet, pistole, and other basics.....First aid, bankline, Vaseline......Watch this space........Started with a Canadian Army surplus WWI medic bag that I used to use caving.......This one will be good on the airplane (the proto has been to Vegas and Argentina and doubled as my field bag in Gaucho Land......A mini dispatch case with additions to make it as versatile as a BK 2..... Well, almost.......

Unless you've used the 3, I wouldn't count it out as a woods knife. It might not be as woodsy as like a 7/9, but it is STILL a quite capable knife. It think the 16 is a good all around knife for bushcraft but personally I think it comes down to what you want to do and skill level. I have build shelters, fires, and crafts in the winter time with my Bk11 just to see what I could do with a small knife, ive also done the same with my 77...
I kind of feel like everything in the Becker line (except maybe the BK3) is a good knife to use in the woods.
