A Becker-Lover's Favorite Folders?

That's kinda the end for folders: these two have made me lose interest in most others. I want a GEC Whaler for the wow factor even though I'll never use it, and some sort of trad with a california clip and a bail for my nessmuk trio, and I keep a SAK and TL-29 in my truck, and I have a nice TL-29 I'm going to EDC sometimes once I can get it sharp, but otherwise... I'm good :D

That Whaler is a really interesting blade shape for a traditional-style folding knife. I like it!

I love this one, but never carry it cuz I'm not fancy enough, but I think it's gorgeous

See, this is what I'm talking about. I've never heard of Great Eastern Cutlery (shame on me), but they make some beautiful stuff.

Recently, it's been an orange Spydie Endura FFG and the Tenacious line, with the Resilience being my favorite of that bunch. I also have an Ontario RAT-1 that I like a lot, BM AFCK and MiniGrip, a couple Kershaw Leeks and a Chill. Overall favorite for value? Probably the RAT-1.

It's hard to beat the Rat 1 for value. That thing has smooth action, locks up tight, and feels rock-solid.

I was never into traditionals, but then I saw a barlow and fell in love. Then I had to have a carbon steel barlow. GEC makes beautiful knives, and the price is pretty good.

I've wondered about how functional they actually were. I may have to pick one up.

Got tired of screwing up folders because I tried to pry or drive screws with em. The shard/slipjoint combo is dynamite. Doesn't replace actual screwdrivers/prybars, but for most of what I run into when I'm away from the toolbox it works great.

Squirt PS4 wins hands down in my book as the most useful indespensible must always have brilliant tool ever, though.

My favorite folders out of the ones I own. There's hundreds I want but out of the ones I own, my favorites would have to be my spyderco paramilitary 2 and my ZT0301. Amazing knives. If SAKs are considered folders, I'd have to throw my Farmer in there aswell. The 301 is probably the top one though.

I've been rocking a Boker Exskelimoor II for the last few weeks, and I've been pretty happy with it. Its a great size, and the wooden scales and semi-satin finish keep it pretty non threatening for the suits that I'm around at work.

Not my images, but its this blade.

I know you asked for "all" of my folders, but this is 50% of them (yep, only own two folders now, I gave the Gerber Paraframe away :D).

Almost always carry a slippie, copperhead, gec scout or templar and a case jack. Really like my emerson a-100, green endura or grip or mini grip. My Izula is my near constant companion outside work though.

I think the combo idea is smart. I'm going to have to pick one of those shards up, for the same reason. Also, I haven't seen the Squirt PS4 before. That thing looks pretty sweet for such a small package. I had a Juice until Christmas (we had it out for opening up the presents and battery compartments), and I think one of my kids hid the thing. I still haven't found it! I may have to check out the Squirt as a replacement.

That's pretty sweet looking. I didn't say all of them. I definitely have some that won't be mentioned here, because they suck. :)

I really like the Ka-Bar Dozier Fat Bob. Saw one of them up there. That's the kinda knife I want to carry, I would have bought one already if it were made in the USA. I once had a Gerber Air Ranger that was made in Taiwan. It fell apart and I have since sworn I would only buy American knives.

Would it be worth it to break my made in the USA rule for that knife?

When it comes to folders, Zero Tolerance all the way. Love the strength and beauty of the blades. Spyderco's and benchmades don't do it for me. They feel a little too weak in comparison to ZT.

I usually have a folder (or sometimes two) on me. My current rotation includes: a Case red bone barlow, a Boker wharcom, a Spyderco Delica 4, and a K-bar dozier.

I have a number of folders but I seem to gravitate toward my Cold Steel
AK47 most of the time. It's built like a tank, has a great grip and holds a decent edge for a stainless blade. I processed a whole deer with it last year in archery season and it did a fantastic job. It's tough to beat for the price.

I am a "bang for your buck" type of guy , cant afford much else . . . so My current Favorites are my Rat 1 , and Kershaw Zing

sry no pics:grumpy:

I usually carry my bk14 around my neck but if not I'll have my dozier Phat BOB. One or the other at all times!

yar, another folder thread. must be something in the air :)
