A Beckerhead Giveaway

Man, I can't decide between the 16 or the 11.... Probably the 16. The 62 is also rad, but personally I love the tweener handle on the 16. Heck, lets just say the 16 for today. Tomorrow I might change my mind :p. I have a hard time picking favorites! I am drawn to the Becker knives because they're a perfect combo of great ergonomics (the most important to me), great functionality (next important) and a cherry on top is a great bang for the buck. There are lots of great knives out there but rarely are they all three of those things. Anywho, this is an older pic but I really like it of my 16.

If I were to win I would give the bk10 to my dad. We are working on repairing our relationship that wasn't so good when I was younger. He's 6'5" so it'd fit his hands nicely. Thank you for the generous giveaway!
Hey, wow. Im a dad of two girls, and your post touched me this morning. If I get selected, I will more than gladly send it to you.

Note: better yet, hey padruig. If my number comes up, just forward it to Capt Ayrica. Thanks!

I'm in! And thanks for the opportunity (BH #999). Choosing a single favourite Becker knife is almost impossible. While I'm a huge fan of the 16, 9, 5, 15, 2 and 21, if I had to choose one it would likely be the BK11/14. Now, allow me to explain my choice. We live in a relatively large Canadian city and it's difficult to openly carry many of the larger Becker knives. The 11 and 14, however, are sufficiently unassuming in size and shape that they can be carried
daily in an urban environment without drawing any unnecessary attention. And while the 11/14 and are not as large as the other Becker knives, they consistently punch above their weight. In more backcountry environments, I'll reach for one of the larger Beckers, but for daily use, an 11/14 is always in my pocket.

As for the reason I'm drawn to Becker knives, it all comes down to a wonderful balance between performance and price. Beckers are wonderful tools that beg to be used and many of the details highlight this pragmatic design approach. And in a world where style often trumps substance, it's nice to see some companies (Becker Knife and Tool) continuing to produce tools for real-world use.

My favorite is the 7, super versatile and still carries light.
What draws me to the BK series is mostly the handle, love it in hand.
But the the crowd on the boards here is what gets me to stay :)
Love all the 'real world' knife use documented here by everyone.
Often reminding me to get outside and enjoy nature more.

Goodluck everyone, and thanks to Pàdruig, Becker West, Ka-Bar, and Ethan Becker for this generous chance, esp. for including overseas members!

Thanks Padruig, this is super cool of you!

I'm in, beckerhead #152.

I'm not sure how to pick my favorite, but I can say that I love the durability and useful design that I find in every Becker design.

BK-15 is my favorite for skinning and butcher duty:

...but the BK-9 is my do-all beast (don't worry, that maple tree was in the process of coming down)

Thanks for the opportunity. Very Beckerhead like of you.:)

I'm in. BH# 407

Favorite user: Cincy Machax, on my hip almost every weekend I'm in the yard. Why? 'Cause my family and ancestors would be very proud to know I buy knives that "work for a living".

Second bestessest: 6, no...9, no...6, no...9.

Thanks, Padruig! A BK-10 would be a great addition to my Becker collection. :D
I am in! Beckerhead # 689.

My favorite Becker is, by far, the BK-9 Combat Bowie. "ALL HAIL THE KING!"

Not shown is my BK-2, a 3rd BK-9, and a 2nd BK-16; the 16 runs a close #2 to the 9 because it makes a great companion blade for the King. Why do I L O V E Becker knives so much?... let's just say I've not found another knife (knives) that are closer to perfection in design, construction and value than a Ka-Bar BK&T! Why the BK-9? I'll simply quote what I said about it in another post...
... I highly recommend the Becker BK-9. It was the first Ka-Bar BK&T I ever bought and the first time I held it in my hand I knew there was something special about it. Kinda like when you meet that once-in-a-lifetime girl where the chemistry is electric, the two of you blend together in personality and thought forming a better version of each one and there's just some esoteric "knowing" that this is "The One"... yeah the BK-9 was something like that- only in steel! ;)
It seems to possess some supernatural quality that bestows it with a transcendent equalibrium. I think it's the handle design and form, in some way it simply "fits" providing a confident and comfortable purchase in hand- it just feels good ("fits like a glove" is the most often mentioned description expressed by a host of reviewers.) No, no I think it's the blade. Yes. The blade. That 1095 Cro-van steel is AMAZING! Strong and tough and takes a remarkable edge! It's just the right weight, length and thickness and has the perfect grind geometry that optimizes it for varied applications, and just plain looks sexy! On second thought... it IS the handle that makes it feel so right. But that freakin' blade, man it is SOMETHING ELSE too! Bro, IDK what it is or how to quantify it but this BK-9 I speak of isn't called "The King" around here for nothin. It truly does look and feel and moves like it's imbued with an ethereal charm- as if it was deposited here by Conan the barbarian after a time warp through the 23rd century or something."

Alright, all.

Thank you so much for all the fantastic entries. Thought I would bring this back to the first page as a final call.

I will be drawing sometime this weekend. Remember that the main prize is knife, patch, and sticker. 5 runner ups will get a sticker.

If you recently acquired a BH # or are pretty darn close, it doesn't hurt to enter. The more, the merrier.

Alright....

The numbers have been entered into the Prize-Winner-Picker-ATOR and after some sputtering and glitches, it spat out 5 numbers that are not attached to non-entries or idle chat posts. Remember that the 5 runner-ups get a totally rad Ka-Bar sticker.

Please do not despair at your excellent fortune. There might be a bit of a surprise that comes with your sticker...
