The Chinook is now the Chinook III, not discontinued, but changed.
The Spyderco homesight only lists models that their SFO (Spyderco Factory Outlet) has for sale at the time, not all the models available. Spyderco treats their SFO like any other store in the network, so it has to wait for its alotment just like everyone else. This can lead some to mistakenly believe a model is no longer available, yet is actually readily available at many fine e-retailers.
