A BK15 and diamond files....looks like I'm doing a complete makeover :)

This is what happens when one has 3 BK-15's and a fridge full of beer as well as time on one's hands and some diamond files. That's right....freehand drunken filework. Came out OK, IMO....but I'm not the best judge ATM. Prolly get some custom scales (maybe another run of Mikecarta®?) or some nice wood with a black epoxy filler. Hopefully it'll clean up a little nicer:

I think next time I will do a little more....preparation, and try something a little more coherent. Still, it was fun and pretty quick. Now for the rest of it.

I dig it. It'll be even more badass when some patina develops in and around the grooves.

I like that you left the factory jimping on the thumb rest.

I like it, looks aggressive. Good work. Will look great with some decent handles. Sorta reminds me of a chainsaw blade. You could call it "the chainsaw".

Ya know, GSOM, that some people pay extra for special jimping like that.

Maybe in your retirement years you can have a company called "Drunken Monkey Jimping Company". :D:D

+1 to this!

I think it looks surprisingly good.
You could work up some Drunken Coffeebag scales to match...

Man... I need to send some of my knives to you so that you have something on hand when your drinking LOL

Oh, not to worry. I've got more than I need....

Thanks for the comps, everyone (to those who made disparaging remarks....thank you as well). Upon sobriety, I'm actually OK with what I did....and I can't find my tool that puts metal back on so I guess I'll live with it anyway. Thinking about some Katalox scales and some black epoxy to fill in the filework. Thanks to beachmaster, I have some leftover black Micarta dust for that. Stay tuned. Tough to get the Cell camera to focus so close, but:

If you're up this way bring it and throw it on the stiff buffing wheel-really makes the whole thing pop. Nicely done-especially on hardened 1095. I've NEVER been that drunk lol

I'm trying to figure out a way to spend a weekend up in the Northeast Kingdom this summer some time. And....diamond files. Really wasn't that hard - I've even used them sober!

Looks great; wonder how it could have come out if you had substituted a mason jar of clear for that beer?:rolleyes::confused:

Horribly, I'd bet...I don't eff with everclear. That stuff is practically a hallucinogen.....a little drunk is one thing; visiting another planet and trying to work through a tear in the space time continuum is another ;).
