This is my new Bob Ham flippy folder. Bob made this for me a few weeks back & I have only recently finished engraving it in my banknote scroll pattern. Thought ya'll might enjoy looking at it if you're bored & have nothing else to do:yawn: Please don't be to harsh as this is only a snap shot and not done by a professional.

I would like to talk to you about some engraving sometime.

Thanks, Greg

Sorry guys, I don't know what I'm doing. My daughter tried to send the picture but didn't quite figger out how. If any of y'all know how, please walk her thru it.

G. Shahan, please give me a call at 910-221-5288 est, I'm always in the shop seven days a week, 10-12 hours a day. In other words, I'm alway available & would like to talk to you.

when you have the picture open (on snapfish) right click it and find properties, and then copy and paste the link of the picture.

Or if you use Google Chrome, it's a lot easier. Just right click the picture and click copy image URL. Then paste the url inside the
tags

A.SHARP, Sorry to say I can't make it . Got one of those bad back things and can't ride more than about 1 1/2 hours a day. Y'all have a ball .......

OKAY Mr. Mike ---- you da man. My daughter didn't go to properties when posting the picture . It's up now on my first post, thank you again.

Thanks Mr. Jim. In a few weeks I will cut/relieve the background down about .015" & stipple it so it appears black. Will also get a better picture where the shading stands out better.

Hey Greg, I enjoyed our conversation last night & look forward to working with you on your newest project. I believe your choice of using gold with banknote scrollwork and rust browning the 4140 steel hilt, handle body & pummel along with the Mammoth ivory will give a pleasing look. This is going to turn out to be one spectacular fighter.

Ken, that looks great! I can't wait to see how it looks when it is finished! You do amazing work. I have been looking at some of your work online, and it just blows me away!

Hey Ken, Must be magic but I can see the picture just fine. :D I think the engraving looks just great! How is the gold border done? Like I told you before I know very little about engraving.

RAY, I draw the lines where I want to inlay gold first. Second, I cut the lines and undercut the edges to form a dovetail. Next, I forge/hammer 24ct. gold into these lines. This leaves a hammered distorted mound of gold above the line or figure inlayed. The remaining gold is then polished down by hand using 400/600/etc. grit paper until flush with steel surface. Glad you like it Ray --- I sent you another picture this morning that is of better quality showing much more detail.

Mr. Hurst,

I enjoyed our talk also and look forward to working with you.
I was able to look at the pics you e-mailed me, spectacular work to be sure.
I'm sure my client will be pleased.

Thanks again, Greg
