• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

A Boy's Knife named Sue!

Charlie, thanks for resurrecting this thread.
A free lesson on history of cutlery is always welcome :)
Oh, and by the way...it might not be a high end knife, but I do like the line of it :)
Sidenote: I might be one of the youngest forumites here, and I'm not even American but come on...

I'm glad you like the knife, Jake and Fausto!
I'm not sure you like Johnny Cash though, Fausto?!?!
An American Icon, maybe he doesn't click with Italian/Sardinian/Sicilian audiences??

Very interesting thread. Great knife history and I didn't realize that Shel wrote "A Boy Named Sue" for Johnny.

Thanks

Ric

Charlie, I do like Johnny Cash quite much.
I don't care if it clicks with Italian audience; I guess many people here don't know much about him, but it's their problem, not mine. My roots here are deep inside earth, but my branches got pretty high and listen to the wind that comes from every direction :)
