The light saber will end all this super steel nonsense once and for all. Of course then the argument will be who has the latest and greatest color.

I think the hype will all be related to handle aesthetics because there aren't very many colors and I think those stupid lightsabers only come in red blue and green ?
I'm probably wrong though, because I hate star wars and have only watched one of them 20 years ago.
If the guns don't use gunpowder to fire bullets and the blades aren't made of steel, I'm not even remotely interested.

True. I haven't needed to sharpen mine again since reprofiling and thinning the edge to 12~12.5° per side a couple years ago.
I have dry stropped it a couple times ... weather it needed it or not ...
Tho to be honest, it hasn't seen much "heavy" use since I got it. Food prep and dropped a few unruley pine and Appercot branches, is all.

Hey! There were firearms in several episodes, from black powder muzzle loaders ("A Private Little War") to Colt SAAs in "Specter of the Gun" to German MP-40s in the episode with Nazis and gladiators. "A Piece of the Action" even had Thompson SMGs and 1911s!
