A Camp knife To Beat My Koster Nessie !!!

I was looking in an outdoor shop the other day when Pit Jr said he'd found a good camp knife for us.
I snapped it up and decided to test it against my Koster Nessie.

You can see how the new knife cut up a post-it finer and easier than the Nessie......

Here you can see how, and this really suprised me, it made fuzz sticks even easier and better than the Nessie.....

So what you ask is this new mystery camp knife that beats the almost legendary Koster Nessie into second place ?

Well darn if it ain't another Mora !!!!!!

Moras... are the bomb...Just got an m2k.. (stainless) but I'll be damed if you can't shave a fly's arse with it...

It does look like a c-173 thanks ejes.

OK, Pit. Now you're starting to scare us...

That looks a lot like a C-173 with an orange handle.
 
I see, Maisy now leads Pit by the leash, and he is now on a budget. Less knives, more steak!!!! :)
 
Serrated Moras? Hmm. They are tryin new stuff. I will have to grab acouple of them if anyone can tell me a model.

Ragnar has only one that I know of, the model 761. Not a whole lot of serration, but serrated nonetheless. SS blade.
 
The nessie still wins on style by a very, very wide margin.

That being said, I think I'm going to have to pick up one of those Moras ...

I should also have said , the tang comes a good 3/4's of the way down the handle so it should also hold up to moderate battoning etc !!!

I have only stropped this one and although it just barely shaves hair it cuts wood like butter, I am totally amazed at how effortlessly it slides through the wood !!!!:eek:
 
I've been eyeballing that mora for a while and glad to see you happy with it pitdog!

Can I request a in hand shot? Over even better yet, side by side with the DMCG?

Oh, and where did order that one? I believe ragweedforge only has black.

Edited to add that the Nessie is lookin great too. The use you're putting on it looks fantastic!
 
I have a C-173. It looks to be about 1/16 thick. I don't happen to have anything handy to measure with. I got mine without the Sheath but Rangar has them and if you want it, they come with a Leather sheath. However, I think the sheath was 15.00 extra.
