A Challenge!

I finally thought to have my camera nearby while working. The W in Ewok is WORK right?
It works well as a gasket scraper.

I hope some day to be able to try rattle snake. Are they common enough in Georgia that you have them often?

Out looking for Oyster mushrooms last fall. Found this loner. It didnt look quite right so I left it.

Not exactly bird or trout but I peeled 5 pounds of potatoes then cut them up with a pound of smoked sausage for lunch today with the B&T I picked up at the get together yesterday.

Ok, here ya go John. The only JK I have so far. Brand spanking new pics, just taken today with a knife I received yesterday. The featherstick sure ain't great, but that's because my knuckleheaded self tried touching up the edge on the blade and I think I dulled it, haha!

Not real common in my area Northwest of Atlanta, I see more copperheads. Got a 5 ft Timber Rattler w/ 13 rattles several years ago.
When I go below Macon in the Ocumulgee Wildlife Management area I would not step into the woods without my snake chaps! Got 2 rattlers and a moccasin one weekend.
Water Moccasins taste the same as rattlesnakes also!

Hi dipbait -

Great pictures!

I have never tried to eat any fungus except morels, but my dad has found other types that we have eaten.

I'll have to try to start a fire tonight with the pass-around scandi - I'll be having some fun with fatwood that I "made" by leaving 6 inch branch "stubs" on my Austrian pine when I trimmed it last fall - it appears that the remaining branches are now what they refer to in wss as fatwood.

Thanks for posting your pictures!

best regards -

Hi TheZenful1 -

Great pictures! Thanks!

I was able to get my scan-duckie shaving sharp with a little work. I concur with pitdog, less pressure is more.

best regards -
