A copy of the knife

Jason, your knife work is beautifully done, but I want to compliment you on your leather work. Is is apparent from your first sheath photo that you have at least been exposed to one or more of my DVDs. If so, I'm even more impressed with your attention to detail and precision in the sheath construction. Finally the cleanliness and organization of your shop overall is amazing.

Paul

Oh, yes sir, I have a set of VCD Paul.Long, which has a detailed production process.
He taught me to do it, I am very grateful to him and VCD productions, my English is not good, can only look at VCD to make

How cool. Not only are folks in China learning how to make nice sheaths from Paul Long's DVD- but, when posted here, Paul recognized it and the maker got a compliment from his teacher!

actually your english is better than most americans, at least on the internet, where there seems to be an illiteracy movement underway. You even use the word "too" correctly, which is very rare! glad to meet you, -yogi
p.s. From the look of your work, you are going to be famous ;)

edit to add: I would be proud to have my name on a sheath that nice.

Very nice work! Good Job!

You might be able to try google translate to help you read and post.

Very good work Jason with both knife and leather.

Thank you Mr.Fisk. My friend and I are big fans of your works, I've collected many of your knives. I've been working very hard and my goal is to make a knife that can be close to the work of your level. I admire your works, and I think we've communicate through emails before, if you still remember.

Paul: When you get work so clean, and credit this honest, it makes ALL the effort worthy. :)

Jason: I applaud you.

Edit: I hope you don't decide to do Knife Photography.... LOL! I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with my peers! ;) :D

Absolutely correct, Coop.....but I wasn't kidding, I'd be proud to have my name on a sheath as nice as his. He is not only a very fine knife maker, but his leather work completes the compliment.

Very beautiful work in the steel/knife and in the leather. I can only hope to someday acheive a level close to this. As a relative newcomer into knife making, I have a question.
I see the blades and tang as being a "hidden tang" style of construction. Yet when I see the finished knife it looks like a "full tang' with two pins and steel (I assume) showing around the handle perimeter. Is the handle made in two pieces with a steel spacer between? And do both of the pins go through a hidden tang? It seems what appears as a full tang is thinner than the blade material and thus a spacer. But obviously the blades show a partial "hidden" tang blade.
Could the maker or someone clarify that? Sorry for my ignorance, trying to learn.
