A copy of the knife

Great Job J, you made a good knife. Specially in China. You can't have too many chance to see the high end stuff but you still doing good only depend on the picture and video.

Very beautiful work in the steel/knife and in the leather. I can only hope to someday acheive a level close to this. As a relative newcomer into knife making, I have a question.
I see the blades and tang as being a "hidden tang" style of construction. Yet when I see the finished knife it looks like a "full tang' with two pins and steel (I assume) showing around the handle perimeter. Is the handle made in two pieces with a steel spacer between? And do both of the pins go through a hidden tang? It seems what appears as a full tang is thinner than the blade material and thus a spacer. But obviously the blades show a partial "hidden" tang blade.
Could the maker or someone clarify that? Sorry for my ignorance, trying to learn.

You're right on your assumption. It's called a "Frame handle".

Looks like a full tang, isn't.

The metal you see is kind of like a frame that's formed around the tang. Sometimes these are screwed into the tang at the end, sometimes with pins or hidden pins. Many options.

Thanks. Makes sense and I thought I was seeing what my brain was telling me I was seeing. Thanks for the confirmation and clarification.
