A.D.= got over 14'' of snow today, couldn't get to the post office in time. I'll ship it tomorrow before work.

Me= Have not heard from you. It has been a week since our last contact. If the Fehrman does not show up today I will be forced to issue a dispute via paypal.

A.D.=i was on vaycation. it got shipped to nc and should be to u shortly, it was shipped through the regular mail. I did not ship rush bc that was $35 so u got regular old fasioned slow mail.... setle down.

Me=You have still failed to tell me exactly when you shipped, if there is tracking, and when the Fehrman will show up. Once again, since it seems to take you an entire day to get back to me on anything I will wait until tomorrow night for this information, depending on the information you get back to me with I will be opening a dispute. It is an understatement to say that at this point I don't feel comfortable with your previous lack of communication and the nonchalant attitude you have taken to leaving me in the dark.

Me= I am not asking for you to inform me. I want the tracking number. I have opened a dispute. I do not believe you to be genuine at this point. I need proof of where the Fehrman is.

After his glaring disregard for anyone but himself and the cowardly threat I think it's obvious I will never deal with him again. Please buy from him if you want to be left in the dark, then have concerns deflected, and finally after you open a paypal dispute have a tracking number sent with the usual immature internet tough guy threats. The only good part about this is the Fehrman showed up. I eagerly vote this guy onto the Phucktard list........

What's wrong with people not sending information? It's not that hard to do.
Going on vacation is not an excuse IMO. You entered the transaction, finish it!
It gives me the impression of "Ho-hum, I'll get around to it, yawn :yawn: , put off till tomorrow " :thumbdn:

Fourteen inches of snow is certainly an excuse for not shipping an item for a few days. But don't most people settle things up before they go on vacation? You can exactly tell the credit card company "sorry my payment's a week late, I was on vacation."

I've never traded knives on the forum, but I do a lot of through the mail baseball card trading and last year before I went on vacation, I sent out ten packages, and ten emails informing my trading partners that I was going to be out of town and away from email for a week. I even put handwritten notes in all the packages saying the same thing.

When I got home, I had eight or ten packages waiting for me, with emails and a few handwritten notes thanking me for getting things out before leaving for a week. It's not that hard to do.

Fourteen inches of snow is unexpected and can delay things, no problem. Vacation isn't unexpected and should never delay things.

The guy lives in an area where snow is common. 14 inches of snow is no excuse for not shipping. I bet the roads are cleared really quick in St. Paul.....
And again as usual; communication is the key............................

If you sell something and are paid for it you have an obligation to ship ASAP!!!
Then tell the buyer what is happening

I just got reminded how quick and easy all this CAN be. I proposed a 3 way trade with 2 guys who weren't sure how it would work. Two days later, we all had our knives shipped and Deliv. Conf. numbers emailed out. That's when you deal with people you have confidence in.

Stiffing a guy because there's snow on the ground? Snow doesn't block email. Keep people informed and everything else can be worked out.
