Thank you very much for taking the time to share the pics & educating us about what is going on in Colombia.

This demonstrates once again that if you want the truth, do NOT look to the "state run" media.

To be honest with you, Dale, I really don't know enough about it to educate anyone. All I know is what I have seen, nothing more. Like I said, I truly believe there is good work being done there by good people.

Outstanding pics!!! thanks for sharing!

As a watch freak and Suunto collector, it was nice to see a Suunto Vector in the shots! :)

I've had plenty of experience with those 60mm's...especially in hand-held mode. Gotta love the MK-19...thats a 40mm chuckin SOB. Crazy too see the same gear we use down there.

Great photos all...I like the Bogota ones alot.

Engage any friendlies??? It's good to be a single gringo in Bogota! :) :)

Ya eat a nice big bowl of ajiaco??

The Hard Rock barrio is cool- the zona rosa...upscale and fancy. For the beautiful people...

I didn't spend a lot of time there...

:)

Colombia is one of the most beautiful countries in Latin America. The diversity is incredible. Heck, the reason so many drugs are grown there is because anything will grow there.

In Medellin, when you get off the plane you can smell the roses. The country is amazing. I absolutely 100% agree that it could be a future Costa Rica. Costa Rica is starting to pass and Panama is going to take its place (lower taxes, easier to do business, etc). Colombia is the place of the future. I've actually debated about moving my family down there. It is amazing.

Next week I'll be in Bogota and Cali before I head to Georgetown, Guyana. I can't wait to get to Colombia. It still hasn't been spoiled. It is amazing.

Whatcha do? What is your connection with Colombia? I lived there about 10 years ago and my wife is from Bogota. With a job with US/European salary, we would go manana....

Thanks for sharing those! Amazing story and amazing pictures! Thanks for doing what you do!
