A Floating Axe

Long ago I watch a subject. And it is pleasant that at me it is possible brother of a hatchet. I live in Ukraine. My translation, big apologies.

Thank you! I think you are saying you have viewed one of these, in person, in Ukraine. Small world isn't it where another Flotaxe shows up, but on the other side of the globe. And even smaller world when that someone can affirm this via an Internet post. Looks like age and weakening of the alloy has really caught up with that one.

Gidday Square_Peg. Now I really want to hear the story about how these two miraculously came to reside at your place.

Congratulations on the twins square-peg. I am wondering what your take will be on them after a little use.

Garry3, the bit would need to be re-profiled and thinned a little bit for these to be very good choppers. But am I gonna do that? Hell no! I won't remove a single gram of the magnesium body or titanium bit and poll.

I think they would chop OK as they arrived. I like Alocksly's idea of filling one with birdshot. It would chop but still be easy to clean out.

So tonight I'm over at my buddies house for dinner. He collects fishing tackle. We go down to the basement after dinner to check out his collection. It's the Holy Grail of everything fishing related. Every oddball reel ever made. A shelf full of salesmen cut-aways. Lot's of stuff in the box. Just amazing. So I tell him about the Flotaxes I got yesterday. And he chimes in, "I've got one!"

He pulls it out and it still has the original sheath! I'm blown away.

That's just one wall in a room filled with display cases.
