A Folder You'd Like To See GEC Produce ??

Large stockman with square bolsters, like Case 6375. Big clip blade, sheepfoot blade, swap the spey for a punch or caplifter. All in 1095 steel. Since I'm dreaming, let's make it elk covers with diamond shield. I wouldn't be opposed with blades being SS and an acorn shield. I'll leave that decision to GEC. 😃

You know what, I've thought about this some more and what I'd really like to see GEC make a folder that somebody who is just looking for a good knife can actually buy.
Pick a couple models like probably their sodbuster pattern and maybe a boys knife or Barlow to just keep in regular production so people can easily find and buy one without having to worry about when their available or how fast they'll get snatched up.
Just pick something to keep in production that the average knife lover can buy without having to be on some kind of email list or run people over like it's black Friday.

I can wish & want for this or that special knife but I know that ultimately I wouldn't even be able to get one anyways.

That is exactly what I had in mind when I gave my answer. Something “universal” that can be had for a decent price in regular production.

15 with a spear point, their most popular model and they hardly ever make them. That's the one everyone wants, but for some reason they keep making other models with unicorn hoof picks and ear wax cleaners 😂
You are not wrong.....My view, these look a lot better without nostril hair clippers or espresso scribes....;)

What would I like? A lot fortunately :D Great idea for a thread.

First off, a GEC that I can acquire without calling in debts, joining a sect, taking out a contract and getting it into the country without problems....You know the form.

Secondly, features: time for Tip Bolsters please, much more sunken or better still sunk joints- others have been doing it for a century or so- but most GECs have very prominent joint edges- not so nice in the pocket. You can round them off (What? You're going to use it!!!?? OMG  )

Thirdly, patterns:

- Proper sized Norfolk knife. 3.5" minimum. Minor blade could be a small Clip like in the CASE/Bose or small Sheepfoot

- A real Sleeveboard where you can really see the taper, Shadow would work too, some cool Acrylics can be worthwhile here as one of the options

- Big Whaler 🐋

- All steel and stainless Ivory Bone Eureka/Talon single blade

- Round bolster 4" Premium Jack, double-end Clip/ smaller Drop-Point- just think IF this had been offered as last year's Forum Knife minus the lacklustre jigged bone 🪰 I think the 91 pattern could pull this off. Or the 82 frame ?

- Finally, a scaled down version of the 82 Dixie Stockman only all steel with choice of carbon or stainless. MUST have the unambiguous W&T of a CASE 18. It's a brilliant and innovative stock knife but it's too big for my carry style and it's rather light sprung but the blade combo 😻 Not much to ask is it? 🤣

If were wishing for something possible that they could actually do, a 33 conductor in 1095 with a drawn swedge instead of a cut swedge would probably be the knife of my dreams.
I couldn't get one though, so I'm glad the 33 is off the mark so I don't have to be upset about not having one.

For those saying they can't find GEC knives or can't manage dealer notification drops for GEC knives, Contact Kevin Spark Spark . He's got a boatload of GEC Stockman knives to sell. If ya don't have a GEC knife yet, one of those will get ya started.

I would like to see a jumbo Beer Scout style knife built on the 86 frame. It should have the Sabre-grind sheep foot blade from the 2019 Blade Forums Traditional knife as the main blade. I want all the cap-lifter secondary, easy open notch, and bail from the Beer Scout.

Beer Scout…
