A Folder You'd Like To See GEC Produce ??

There are 2 kinds of people.
Those who just want a GEC for the knife substance they offer, and those who just want them for their exclusivity and collectibility.
I'm sure there are people who overlap a little
Agree. I consider myself the former category.
people here wishing for a few steady production attainable models
Well, I like the variety of classic patterns they bring back to life from the long gone ole days, and I personally wouldn't want them to start pumping a couple different 15s, 86s and whatever per year but a few thousands of each instead.

People (and I am really trying not to aim at anyone in particular here) who have been whining for years about not getting a GEC could have put in some work a long time ago to acquire them and already got themselves a handful. But instead they drop in from time to time to sing same old song.

There is an old saying that whoever wants something - looks for an opportunity, whoever doesn't - looks for an excuse.

Anyway, sorry for the offtopic!

These threads are always interesting, but let's face facts: Bill is going to do what he wants in the way that he wants, no matter what we say or ask for. If he was going to change, he would have done it already.

While I have a pile of GECs, I *always* miss out on the really attractive ones, while the usual suspects *always* get them. Life ain't fair and neither is GEC distribution.

And I'd like to see this as a Traditional Forum knife:

The idea isn't to only do high volume production, but to do the usual in addition to having a model or two that they manufacture steadily like the #21 Bullbuster or something.
I too am very drawn to the fact that GEC does a lot of long gone prewar offerings and would not want them to change that, it would just be nice to see that there's at least 1 flagship GEC model that the average person can easily own

And it's not really GEC's fault either, at least they didn't cause it anyways.
They could if they wanted to make some changes that create more availability and the collectors would get used to it, but it would take too much to combat the flippers.
They can't make Case & Buck level quantities.

I did not know that this was happening.
If I hadn't given up realistic hope of being a GEC buyer, I would not be happy about that.

The knife I'd love to see would be a 93 lambsfoot with a caplifter with smooth white bone. Please GEC bring on the lamb-lifter!! They can even trademark that and I won't mind, as long as they send me one 😀

Whatever happened to yellow Awabi Shell and Primitive Bone? ...to be honest GEC of today reminds of the movie Waterworld...in which Dennis Hopper is throwing cigarettes out to the slavering horde aboard the ship of doom......sort of...in a good way.
