Creating my own knife was an amazing journey. And for someone who enjoys a challenge as much as I do, I believe I have definitely found this a hobby that I will stick to. I found it incredible how much my knifemaking consumed my thoughts. So much so, that it appeared in my dreams! Cops typically have dreams of a twenty pound trigger pull, I was experiencing dreams of my knife turning into mush, or just melting into nothing. In the end, it all panned out. Thank you so much to Stacy for the pink paracord and to Darrin for the heat treat. I am also very grateful for everyones help and advice along the way.
I really learned a lot with this first knife. I'm hoping my second will be twice as good. This one for now is called "The Recruit". I figured it needed, and deserved, a name. After I get better at the blade making portion, my next goals are to make some scales and also a sheath for it. I would love some constructive criticism from all the talent on the forum. Thanks again!
