A good watch for the outdoors

By far some of the best value in the timepiece world is the Mudman. I have a the ninja-turtle green mudman and a MIRO Solar Atomic for when I'm working in the field (EMT.) For under a bill, they can't be beat.

I love my Casio Pathfinder as well. Compass, barometer, altimeter, 6 alarms, chrono...it even tells the time. Solar powered with battery back-up.

I've got a Casio Twin Sensor Pathfinder and love it. Was under $50 too.

Definitely want to upgrade to a nicer pathfinder in the future as well.

I also love my Pathfinder...but its kinda spendy.
I like my Timex Ironman, and I have cheaper Casio.
They all work good.
The Pathfinder has all kinds of cool stuff...yea, I just got it and I'm still playing with it.

I like my pathfinder expedition. Analogue face, with digital window - stop watch, alarm back timer. Indiglo light and moving bezel for manual timer (I love that). For the band - tossed it - grapped the leather band from my seiko and put it on this one. Keep your dang seikos.....

If you want to use your current watch and just need a new band, try one of the "The Band" watchbands by Chisco.

I have had one on a Timex that I used to use as a backup timer for diving and although it is faded and a little tattered, it still works great. It will fit around almost anything. I have had it around wetsuits, drysuits, scuba gauges, writs, arms, bcd's, you name it, if it fit around a piece of dive gear it rode there at one time or another.

If you've got the scratch, a Rolex is hard to beat (and takes a beating).

Seconding these bands. Seriously, even if you aren't diving and go to a foreign country, there is NO WAY any thief is getting your watch. The band literally wraps around your wrist TWICE. I have these on all my watches that the bands busted off.

The watch I have the band can't be replaced! Should have thought of that when I bought it.

Guys, he said he can't change the band. Probably because it is part of the watch casing. Like these I assume:

I used those wrap around nylon bands alot. There great except after working in them awhile and soaking up all your sweat they smell like a dead skunk shat on your wrist. They just get funky:D Even after repeated washing mine always smelled like detergent and fart:confused:

Eventually my X-old lady made me get rid of them cause they wound up on the headboard at night.:D:D So its polymer bands for me now.

I have a Timex Expedition. It has digital time, chrono, interval timer, alarm and compass. It came with two bands, one rubber and one cloth. I really liek the watch and Wally World sells it for around $50.
