A guy wants to trade me a brand new Benchmade 551sbk with s30v Griptilian for my new Buck 124.

...Nothing to add O.P. as you have received some good opinions, suggestions, and info. already,
However, if you do decide on a trade as such,
you may need a 'GogoGadget' arm to keep your social distance.
...That's a sweet sheath mod @eveled
All you need now is to sew the sheaths together. View attachment 1325636
@Makael made the sheath for me.
Ask yourself why he's so eager to make an hour drive to trade for the answer.;)
Agreed...Great point @skyhorse!
B.T.B.

Unless I missed it, I can’t believe no one mentioned trading a broken knife for one that isn’t lol

The price difference new vs new is not one upon which fortunes are made, but unless you are very excited for that exact grip you can find one cheaper on the exchange

OP:

Personally, I would keep the Buck 124.

However...and I may be wrong...but it seems from your other posts that you haven’t been overly happy with the Buck.

Hey i really appreciate your kindness:) a great reflection of who you are and who you are inside:) awesome to see in times like we are dealing with:) Respect:)❤️
First of all I'm not kind. Who I am to you means nothing to me. Inside me is a dark, and dangerous place. In times like this soft people like you will need people like me. I don't respect you, and I never will. Please make that trade. Oh.....and real awesome Instagram page.

Hey thank you my brother:) appreciate you and your thoughtful words. We do need to help each other more like you suggested and i appreciate Who you are as even though we haven’t met, I can tell You are a cool dude. Thanks again bro:)

Jared: I gotta tell you that I am a fan of serrated/combo pocket knives. As a matter of fact, I have a Benchmade Casbah serrated auto in my pocket now. However, I would never make the trade we're discussing here. The grip, simply due to it being serrated, is worth much less than your 124 and, IMO, a 124 is a knife that will stand the test of time from both a quality and value standpoint. As others have said, used Grips can be had for a little more than half of the value of your 124. (And serrated Grips perhaps for even less.)

Thank you for telling me that brother. Do Benchmades stand the test of time? Also with the s30v steel?

I think most folks on this Forum would agree that Benchmade products are, by and large, first quality production knives.
