a heavy tool for survivng th first 24

G'day Everyone.

I really do appreciate the fact that there are members that have made me feel welcomed here, and have expressed a wish for me to stay.

This is something I will keep in mind

G'day Baldtaco-II

If this really is you falling on your sword then ho hum 'cos I see you delivering posts at other places. I very much hope it isn't though. .....

....Either way mate I'm sure we'll speak again. Happy trails.
No, this isn't a case of spitting the dummy because I've come across as a Dic% head :D

I really don't have a problem apologising when I've been in the wrong

It's more a case of re-evaluating what I have to offer as being relevant or not to the majority of people who come here.

I would think by now, that anyone who has seen my posts on a variety of internet forums would be starting to get an idea about what I personally consider as important Wilderness survival skills.

I have come to acknowledge that this may not be relevant to what others would see as important for themselves

Whilst I effectively haven't posted on another outdoor survival related forum for a couple of years (for exactly the same reason), yes I have been posting on a few other places

Please bear in mind, that I have obligations as a moderator on another manufacturers forum. Whilst I still honour my obligations as a moderator there, you may have also noticed that I really haven't posted much either for close to 12 months because I really can't see the point. :D

Since I have committed to a purchase of a knife from one of the makers here, I'll be visiting BF inorder to complete this transaction.

Once this is complete, I reckon I'm long overdue for a rest from posting on all internet forums :D

But who knows what the future may hold :D

Kind regards
Mick

P.S. Edited to add: I've just PM'ed the administrator of the "other forum" & asked him to revoke my moderator staus at their manufacturers forum. IMO there is no point in retaining a moderator status if your going to be having a looooong break :D

Mick,

I've learned much from many people here, you included. I've learned things that will apply to my area even from people in deserts, high mountains, and northern reaches, southern and eastern hemispheres, and tropical islands. The fact that this is the sharing of knowledge within an international community is one of the greatest appeals tom me personally.

Bump,

Well it's nice to see that this thread got turned back around to the light.

Mick, all I know is that you will never be a better fisherman than me!:p

Oh and Rickypoo, I'm gonna kick you in the jimmy when I see you at the NYCKS on Saturday. I'm just not sure if I should light you on fire before or after ;)
