A inside out review of the Sage (TONS and TONS of pix)

So-Lo,

Thanks for bumping this one up for another look. I missed it before.
The side by side pics were great. I didn't realize the Sage was that much bigger than the Caly3!!!

Are there any plans for a mid-lock Sage?

This thread made me decide I had to have a Sage so I just went out and bought the Sage II on ebay. Found one with a very good price and then used my 10% coupon. How does $125 to my door sound? I think that's pretty good for a Ti framelock.

Anyway I'll make some comments when I get it.

Yes, there are. The plan as far as I know is for the Blackie Collins Bolt Action lock next, and the Mar/McBurnett front lock after that. Sal mentioned bolsters and rosewood scales for the front lock version. :D

LOVIN the pictures you have...I just bought a Sage 2 Ti and im sure I will have to pick up Sage 1 eventually hah beautiful knife!

Thanks for the bump So-Lo. I missed this last year...a really great review/pics:thumbup:

My SageII is my favorite spyderco, and now gets more pocket time than my sebbies or any other folder.

I have really enjoyed your bump & information on the Sage that fortifies my opinions of the Sage II I just received. The II is an outstanding product, superior fit & finish, and is on a par quality wise with any of the Ti framelocks I've owned including Sebs, SMFs, Cuda Max, Ridjbak, & a Burke Rockstar. If they are all as fine as my sample I'd say it's a must have for the Ti Framelock fan. Ruff Cobb
