A Kephart and me.....

(condensing information)

i have had a couple few now new to me copies of "the book". just recently got a 1960 copy and exact copy it seems of the 1947.

upstairs i have a 1927 also i think, would have to check again.

see this post: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/a-kephart-and-me.1616289/page-2#post-18465742

Ethan would say, though, buy your new copy directly from the smokey mountain museum as it supports the park directly

I have camp cookery i believe from the 30s If it is one that you are missing I would be Honored to ship it to you. It's packed in the basement. I will find the ammo can tomorrow.

missing? not sure what i'm missing?

i do also have a copy of "Vol I" Which is camping and has the cooking stuff. It's a larger print edition, still reasonably old. Got it by mistake thinking it was Vol I/II in one. "oh well" - i think that's what you have.

thanks though! :D

I'm glad they decided to use wood instead of some synthetic for the handles. I regards to the sheath, I'm wondering how close to the original this Ka-Bar version will be?

given they have the original knife to work with, untarnished by time, and an ideal to work against, it will likely be pretty close i should think. more authentic than anyone that hasn't handled the actual thing.

I truly do not need any more hunting, field or woods knives - but I can't wait to get this one.
Any idea on when?
Agreed, I'm way over knifed but I can't not get a new Becker. Partly because Ethan has so much enthusiasm for the Kephart but mostly cause I don't wanna feel left out.
