A one off custom Dominator by Darrel Ralph in .187" CPM154. I received these pictures today. I will update this thread as more pictures come.

That was what came to mind...

I only carry waved folders. The Dominator is a flipper fired knife. I asked Darrel to build me a custom custom with the wave and flipper much like the Maxx and AXD.

Then the wheels started turning.

I asked for a hollow/chisel grind on the Emerson (presentation) side. Figuring this will be seen by my haters, I told him to engrave "EAT ME!" with a small ball endmill on the flat side of the blade.

When I receive it, I will grind off the flipper so it is wave only much like I did to this AXD.



I guess you could say this is a form of trolling aimed at certain fanboys.

Great looking design, CM, and I absolutely love your knife pictured above. Can't wait to see "eat me" when done.
 
Looks great! Looks mean. Hey, why not have HIM grind off the flipper? Or just cut the blade without?

Darrel won't build a knife with an Emerson wave opener.
 
Charlie Mike had a long talk with the fella who came up with the wave-opening feature, a while back.

It seems that it's a copywritten design feature, or proprietary in some other way, and other people can get in trouble for using it without his permission.

Seeing as how he's reluctant to give that permission (and that's also his right), asking Darrel Ralph to build a knife with a wave-opening tab on it would be asking him to participate in intellectual property theft.

But there's nothing wrong with CM modding a knife that he doesn't intend to sell.

This is where we are splitting hairs...

Darrel has been doing his integral flipper/guard before the wave was copyrighted.

Pin is located in blade tang. It rides in a track cut into the Ti in front of the pivot hole.

I haven't seen it done this way before.

Pretty cool blade Brother. Been clean and sober little over a year. Dont have a knife with the wave yet. Just a matter of time.
 
Dang, you read my mind. I was going to ask him about a Dominator like that. How long is the blade?
