Hello all,

First post here. I have a knife that I tactically acquired years ago, and I am not sure where or who made it. I made a sheath for it from beaver tail and it has proved to be a quality blade. The only mark on it is "surgical steel" stamped on the side. I am wondering if anyone can give any information as to its origin. I found a picture on one on forum somewhere else, but couldn't find any details. I have only ever seen one other like it a decade or so ago. An elderly taxidermist used it and he had know idea where he got it.

Site won't let me upload the photo. I assume I need to be a member for a few days?.... I will return

The knife is about 9" long overall. Has a layered maroon and white plastic (?) handle.

Search function.....lots of posts on how to post pictures.
Use a free host site like Imgur. Upload your pictures to the host, open the picture, copy the BBCode link and paste it here.
BBCode format looks like this-
[img]https://i.imgur.com/3BlA71j.jpg[/img]
Its the URL of the pictures location wrapped in img tags. The URL has to have a file type suffix, either .jpg, .gif or .png to work.
This format produces a picture in-line in the body of the post like this

As a registered member, you can post pictures by uploading them to a hosting site and linking to them.
Once uploaded, copy the web address of the picture (must end in .jpg or png). Go to your post and use the picture insert tool on the tool bar. Paste the picture address into the tool, then click INSERT.

It means stolen.
Hey now... it was left there.... How would I know if they would return. Who and how loses a 9" knife??

Dude stole a cheap knife lol

Bless his heart
Top comment. Twas left to rust away. Not my fault they misplaced their buck knife.

Muhammad Ali stole a knife and now wants to learn more about it.

🤣 Get the heck outta here
No no, my friend Cassius M Clay. The OG, not Jr. Stabbed 4 dudes to extinction who broke into his house with boom sticks to end him. He used nothing but his knife. Oh and did I mention he was down with typhoid fever and also in his 80's?🤣
