  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

A little box of BIG goodness. NOW-X 2!!! Pics Both together FPR & FFG 16, & 15, 17

Everytime I see that "FIRST PRODUCTION RUN" engraving I want to kick somebodys cat. Gawd, I hate SMKW! Way to deface a perfectly good knife.

Wow, what a sweet haul! I'm so glad the tweeners came out when they did! I should be getting my tax return any day now... Unfortunately, I gotta say (& I really hate to say it, but its true) I think I really hate the new coating, it looks terrible! Sorry, just my opinion. I thought it looked great until I saw these pics of the new coating next to the FPR versions. Oh well, I'm just gonna strip all mine anyways. Luckily, Ethan doesn't mind when his daughters grow up to be strippers! What great guy!

I got to touch and feel the new coating last weekend at the big west coast knife show and it's way better than the old coating the Becker's had. Think Esee, but a touch rougher and nice looking I thought. If you don't like coated blades then this isn't gonna change that, but I liked it when I got hands on.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm not sure if i will keep the FFG BK16 or not. I really like the sabre grind. Maybe a trade down the road, a user for a user, IDK.

That is a serious load! This thread just pushed me over the edge and I ordered a BK15 to start. Going to combine it with my BK9 for camping.

Congrats on the box o goodies. Makes me feel inadequate only ordering a knife at a time. Where did u order by chance.... I ordered a 16 before they were out at tmrs and my invoice says "ships when available"

pardon my newb... but from a collectors stand point one would want that there. It is advertised as a collectors piece, there was only 250 made. These first production run knives were not made to be used and abused like the other becker knives. They were made for the people who want to get there hands on one and for the collectors out there. Why would they put an engraving on the knife if they intended it for use... everytime i see a FPR tweener customized, I "CRINGE"

There is no excuse for saying a Becker should not be used and abused! Say 30 our Ethans or suffer the consequences!

Personally, I like the sabre grind better. I may still buy one to use before they are gone, or trade my FFG for a Sabre Grind. Sorry, it is just the way i am programed & the way my brain works. More steel = more strength in my mind. That may not be true, but it's how i think.
Thats what prompted me to get this.

This is a Boker Plus Elegance B.O.B. (bug-out-bag) knife. As you can see, it is thicker than a BK2, very compact, has a bowie style blade, micarta handles. It is super comfy like a Becker, yet VERY compact. AUS-8 steel. SUCKS that it was made in China. I think this was a winner buy.

Now, :o Recently, i did something i have never done before. Lost a knife. Yup, left it on the rear bumper of the truck. It is gone. On the plus side, someone got an excellent $20 Remington Heavy Gauge large pocket knife. I liked it so much i got another.
