Just got home this evening to find the package I ordered from ag russell waiting for me after a long week...I quicly opened it up and to my disappointment realized that they just mailed me the kydex sheath for the ag russell woodswalker, and forgot the knife that I also paid fo (as indicated by the bill) I have to wait till the mnorning to get in touch with customer service...I'm sure they'll help me out but I was really loking forward to playing with it....Oh well

Dude.. That sux.. Sorry Bro. Hopefully everything works out, and it's in the second box being delivered Saturday.

It's better than getting a knife with too much blade play and having to ship it back. AG seems top notch. I love my woods walker and have thought about the kydex sheath. I've made a belt sheath I often use.

I HATE when that happens! Almost as bad is having to return a new knife for repairs. Had to send a Leatherman back because the main blade was hanging up and couldn't be opened one handedly. Now its going to take a week to get back to OR and who knows how long to get back here.

If it helps, just take a kitchen knife and stuff it into the kydex, next put the combo on your belt, then make the sound "doodly doo" while waving your fingers downward in front of your face. Soon you will be in your underwear, in the front yard swashbuckling like Peter Pan with your new Woodswalker.

;)

NICE....I just spoke to customer service they seemed a little alarmed by the fact that My knife was missing (leading me to believe that this doesn't happen alot) However instead of just sending me a new knife I have to wait to be contacted by thier QA person...I know it sounds childish but I don't want to wait I just want the knife....Anyway I'm going hiking at an abandoned coastguard base turned nature perserve today...guess it's a sak and a clipper....

I hate that feeling. It's not childish; I think the kid in us all is sparked at the idea of receiving that package in the mail with a new "toy." It's a great knife and you won't be dissapointed. I use mine for all kinds of food prep and quick jobs that have me not wanting to take out my D4. I hope they get it to you soon, and be safe today.

Dang. We knifeknuts spend so much time anxiously waiting for the mailman. I know the feeling.

Riley:

email me your name and address and a knife will be on it's way Monday. I am sorry but I do not have anyone in shipping today and they will not let me do it myself (I have screwedd up too often). I am reall sorry about the oversight. It does not happen often but when you mail about 100,000 packages a year it will happen once in a while.

all the best,

A. G.

John:

CS showed me your call sheet. It will go out priority mail first thing Mon morning. I had them add a second woodswalker for your wife to use in the kitchen. Sorry we did not do better.

Mr. Russell I just sent you an email but I also wanted to say here on the forum how appreciative I am of you attending to this issue personally, with both class and generosity, I must say I also had a positive interaction with you customer service person as well...That kind of attentiveness is hard to find in this day and age, and I can say with confidence that I will definitely be a customer of your oganization for years to come.. Thanks again, and it is a pleasure to see you here on the forum

It's a shame your knife wasn't in the original box, but, dang! You can't beat that for customer service!

Kudos to Mr. Russell!

No doubt. I just about did an excorcist head spin when I read all of this thread !

good customer service is not sending out a product when its ordered. Its how you remedy the missing or damaged product after you have already been paid and made your money! Its nice to see that level of service!!!
honor and respect from both sides on this one. a miner hiccup but great service from AG Russell:thumbup:

AG Russell has a new customer. ME!

I make sure that I patronize "top notch" establishments.

It's the "deeds" done by these businesses that put them above the normal run-o-the-mill operations.

We vote with our wallets.
