A little green for you guys still stuck in the white...

I like the sign. No weapons allowed. Then a diagram on what to do if a cougar is encountered.

Rksoon…YOU SUCK my friend.

As Tony points out, it’s snowing here in Connecticut again today, just lightly here at my place but they’re forecasting blizzard like conditions for tomorrow.

Oh well, …spring will come.

Thanks for the green.

Sweet photos.

So if a guy limped around with a raw meat hat you think he could bring a kitty home.:p

I could use spring myself but it'll be awhile.:(

Thanks for sharing

Thanks a lot, rksoon!

I stayed home today. I was planning on going ice fishing, but it was 5 degrees out when I got up, so I decided to stay inside. :)

3-6" of snow forecasted for tomorrow. Come on, Spring!

Beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing them.

Stay sharp,

Rskoon,

Great pics.. I like the pics of the ladybugs... I get an infestation of ladybugs in my home everywhere year, but I guess there are worse infestations to have... rodents,in-laws,etc...

LOL - worst part about the in-law infestation is that you know that you get invaded once and they are bound to come back - no matter what you do. A very uncomfortable bed in the spare bedroom with a couple of loose springs is a pretty good deterrent, but not always fool proof.

Glad you guys are enjoying the pictures! :)

I like the 4th pic the most... If you ever get tired of the green come to so cal and you can have lots of brown and grey lol..

Haha, I doubt it! But I’ll keep you in mind; I have a few friends in LA, if I’m ever down there we should do a hike in one of your favorite brown and grey spots! :)

Regarding the Ladybugs, it was bizarre. I’ve never seen them concentrated like that before (haven’t seen this in the summer yet either, like BaldTaco has). Sorry tholiver, no idea on what kinda plant they were munching on (saw them on a few broken mushrooms too). My plant-ID-fu is admittedly weak :o; it’s an area in which I need serious improvement.

Thanks for the pics bro. I just got 8 inches of snow dumped on me yesterday. I am sick of winter. Cant even snowboard in it b/c there is no hills big enough for it in this part of misery. :jerkit:
Im ready for warmer times. Especially ready to make it back to Cali in May.
So..... Which do ya prefer, the OG Bravo1, or your new SS one? The next blade purchase I make is gonna be another Bravo. Just deciding handle options. Its gonna be burlap, black or green. Im leanin twoards the Burlap micarta. That stuff is too cool.

Hang in there! Hope we can arrange a BF meeting when you’re here in Cali. I prefer the SS Bravo1 right now, but only because I got it without the thumbramp. Once I get out to use it more, I hope to be able to figure out which steel I prefer. I’m not a big steel snob, and am still in the learning stages when it comes to comparing performances. Right now I’m in the process of sampling to see if I do like certain steels better. So far, handle shape/thickness, blade shape, and grind/edge type have been my foremost criteria. The SS seems better than the A2 on paper though, so we'll see. Lookin forward to seeing what you end up with man

Sounds like many of you are on the tail end of the cold and snow though, happy to be able to tie you guys over for a bit. For those it’s about to dump more snow on, if it’s any consolation, I love the snow pics you all put up….:foot::D

There was a plague level of them here back on the 70's but I'm not mature enough to know much about that. More recently [as of 2004], the Harlequin population has exploded. I gather they were deliberately introduced here and over at your end from Japan to take on aphids. The Royal Horticultural Society believes that to have been another of those poor decisions in which an intruder could well out compete the indigenous population.

That looks nothing like North and South Dakota:mad: Be careful, I have truck and will travel.:D

They just changed the forecast for my area from 3-6" of snow to 4-8". :barf:

It is pretty though....

This is frozen Lake George:

That .. is a LOT of green. A little too much for my liking.

I really do want the spring to come, but not because I don't like the cold or the snow..

I hate ladybugs, every spring here they start flying everywhere out front of my house. Only gor a few days, but it is really annoying trying to get in and out of my house.

Wow, great pics! Looks like a nice hike.
I love the pics of the mushroom and the banana slug, they came out so vibrant! What kinda camera do you use?

Last time I saw ladybugs in those numbers was at Courtright reservoir in the Sierra Mountains. All I know is that the fish were hitting anything red.

Nice stuff RK, what was the temp today?

I know two days ago we were sitting at minus 47 Celcius, with 2 feet of snow, thats one thing I like about out here, there isnt much snow most of the time, but man when its cold, its Bitter cold.

Desmobob - Awesome pics!!! That frozen lake is simply beautiful.

TheGame - Haha, I was born and raised in Hawaii...I love the green :D

Stingray - I used my lady's P&S. It's a Canon PowerShot SD500. I don't know much about camera's yet and really want to buy myself a decent SLR or something that allows me more control. So far I've been sticking to playing around with the settings on her P&S and it's worked out well enough. I meant to email you man, but it was a pretty last minute thing :o. Next time I'll drop you a line!

Fonly - You're gonna hate me, but I think the temp was around 17 C yesterday. It was a perfect day! Couldn't have asked for a better day really. :)
