Hello all.
I like to think I have alot of friends here. I know for sure I got a few real brothers here. Need to ask for your prayers for my Mom.
When I went to see her today she was talking real confused like, and I could see something was really wrong. She wouldn't go to the emergency room with me so I called an ambulance.
Turns out that because of her diabetes, her kidneys were functioning at about 15% or less. What was happening was that her heart medication(digoxin?) had built up to poisonous levels in her blood due to her kidneys not getting rid of it as they should. When we got to the hospital her BP was 192/40 and her pulse was 41. After about 2 hours they said she had moved into something called 3rd stage heart block and was in extreme danger. They decided to administer an antidote to lower the digoxin(sp?) level, so now it's wait and see.
Believe me, I'm not looking for sympathy, just alot of prayers.
Moderators, if you have to move this, go ahead. Just wanted to reach as many friends as possible in the shortest time.
Thanks all,
David Abramson

She will be in my prayers, and on the prayer list at our church come Sunday, too.

I just went through a medical emergency with my mom last week, so I can relate to what you’re feeling. Thankfully things worked out okay for us, and I’m sincerely hopeful that everything will turn out well for you and your mother as well. You and your mother are in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts with you Dave. I went through a similar situation with my Mom a few years ago.

As someone whose father is going through comparably severe diabetes related problems, I can sympathize totally.

You and your family have my heartfelt best wishes.
