You and your Mom are in my prayers Lifter, and I'll include you both at the weekly prayer group too.

As a side note, her symptoms sound really similar to what my aunt went through several years ago, and the cause of the mental confusion was found to be very high calcium levels in her bloodstream.
Think about asking the Docs to check on it.

Prayers for your Mom, she is in good hands now...You take care, watch what you are doing...no car wreck or knife slips 'cause you're worrying.
All my best,
Wally

Am so sorry to hear of your mother's problems, Dave. I'm not much good at praying, but will give it my best shot. Hope your Mom has a quick turnaround. I know she's got one wonderful son.

I am just now checking the forums.... Really hate to hear of your Mother's situation! You, your Mother, and the rest of your family will be in our prayers, Dave!

Hi all. Just got home from the hospital. Well, they got her stabilized, BP back to about normal as is pulse. While giving her a couple of EKG's they realized that she probably also had a heart attack within the last 3 weeks and never knew it. Now that they have her out of the immediately life threatening situation, they'll deal with one problem at a time in the ICU. While she'll most likely be on dialysis now, they expect a pretty good recovery.
I cannot tell you how much you people have touched me. I can never say thank you enough. There is no doubt that your prayers and well wishes made a difference. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Also thank you to Spark and the moderators for allowing this non-knife thread to go on.
So I guess this pretty much blows my big bad tough guy image right out of the water, huh? Again, thank you and get back to knives. Off to sleep, Dave
