And a quick sale it was my friend. Like I said earlier, you and buy a decent grill, smoker included and another user with the money. Or what ever you want.
I am sure that one hurt to let go of. I knew from your initial post what you were talking about selling because it was your avatar picture and I figured you had your avatar as your "grail".
Yeah, SPF under 12 hours. That's the fastest sale for me yet. It was very hard to let go. I wrote up the thread and then sat playing with the F1 for an hour prior to clicking submit. But... now I can get my grail... I mean Grill and I have more purpose in life... I can set out looking for a new grail. Maybe the avatar will stay for a while.
Thanks again guys for the support on both sides.
I am in the same boat you are as far as users, and needing other stuff. I put off buying one Busse to get a really nice heavy motorcycle jacket so if I ever crashed I would not be in pieces. (the Bossman him self posted on that thread that I should put the money on the jacket first, because safety was more important).
Right now, whenever I hold my FBMLE, I think about a nice kayak and canoe I would like to get.
But do you use the FBMLE? Because that's a different story. There are a zillion things my money could be better spent on than a good knife... but I'm not temped to start selling off my knives I use in favor of something else. That's a slippery slope. There's freedom in trimming the fat in your knife collection down to only one user per size/use/category. (At least for me) Because then I don't stress about ever selling it, or wondering what else I could trade it for. Its a tool. That's why I force myself to use my Ruck frequently. To some, that's a grail knife... to me its my bitch and it gets used hard. I don't see dollar signs. I see a cleared yard.
But the Jacket is definitely a smart decision. Its hard to swing a BM when your arm is ground chuck from laying down a bike.
