My first thought was something serrated, something like the Mora already mentioned.
Then the Byrd Hawkbill, serrated. It's only about forty bucks. (Also mentioned above.)
Or the CRKT Bear Claw, serrated, which is about sixty bucks but comes in some hard-to miss colors should you set it down somewhere...
