I had never heard of County Comm before I had come here. I am so glad I did come here and listen to you all. I ordered a few things from them the other day. Wow. Items were exactly as described and came in just a few days! They are going to cost me some money in the future.

On an additional note, if any of you like rubber/silicon watch bands, the Maratac Silicon band they sell is exceptional. I don't like buckle type or metal bands and I find anything other than rubber begins to smell after a while because of my sweating from the hiking and other outdoor activities I am fond of. If you need one and would like one of high quality, take a look at the Maratac Silicone band they offer (if it fits your watch). This thing is great.

An interesting new development. I was able to order a GSAR from Iraq, however I had a small glitch with the one they sent me. The sent me a new one with thier real rubber watch band that is impregneted with a vanilla sent. Doesn't sound too "tactical", but it's worked very well and for the past six months, to include swimming, a lot of sweat from physical training, field exercises, backpacking, day hikes and camping...not to mention all the yard work:grumpy:...it's still in excellent shap and has a slight vanilla sent to the band instead of the nastly sweaty smell.

no kidding... I've thought about sending a large order to those Blaine package services in Washington state. $3 to receive your package and atore it for up to 30 days. Then you just have to negotiate the border!:thumbdn:

Nice watch!

I own a bunch of their items, my ARES/CERT bag is one of their Bail out bags, and it is great, can't be beat for the price. Almost everything I have gotten from them has been top notch.

I love county comm..... Nice watch man.

Thanks. ST. Moritz's Atlas model. Very light, very tough little watch. Fairly inexpensive as far as watches go (got mine from C&C Outdoors; seemed to have the best prices on them). I like to keep my watches as simple as possible, and these fit the bill there.

Rock 6, I've never heard of a scent impregnated rubber watch band! That is a great idea and very interesting. Thanks for posting that. I recognize the Widgy Tool there on your key chain. Looks like you could also use one of their A&P Mechanics Cable Key Rings!! :D

county comm is dangerous...:o everytime i go to order just some p-cord, i always end up with a gang of other crap... they're great folks to deal with too...

I just got one of their EOD bags, and I cant believe it only cost 20 bones. It is a sweet bag. I want one of those responder pouches to put my IV setup in....

I have never had a problem finding too much good stuff to guy from them, never had a problem with their products, and ...
lead me not unto temptation !!!

As long as we're pointing out the good stuff: IS-100 72 Hour Response Bag at http://www.countycomm.com/72HRBAG.htm
The Responder Pouch/Bag at http://www.countycomm.com/respond.htm fits perfectly into an outer pocket on the ISS-100.

Oh, I had several other goodies that came with the watch band. Some of the A&P key rings mentioned above, some green and orange Light My Fire Super Sporks (had one before and loved it, so got some for the wife and kids), some orange paracord, some cord locks, and some green and orange Universal Cleaning Sticks (some great give-aways for the guys that work for me!).

I'm moving this to FEEDBACK since it's concentrating on County Comm products rather than Wilderness uses. With the link in place, it is effectively in both forums for the time being.

I too got the Maratac silicone watch band with the "traditional" clasp. In a word *perfect*. I have been using one of the Maratac Zulu nylon strap for about a year. It worked well, was very secure, but it was getting pretty dirty. When I saw the silicone band I had to try it, and I am glad I did.
I actually saw them about a month ago, but they only had them in the 20mm size and I needed a 22mm for my Seiko.
As soon as I saw it was available I ordered it (of course I had to order a few other items inluding the EOD bag and the new plastic tube vaults).
Anyway, just a second :thumbup::thumbup:
