A little walk today.

Great pics and story, must have been great exploring a place like that you've never been to.

Damn shame about those fish though...I never understood pointless stuff like that:thumbdn:

Awesome find bro! WTF is wrong with idiots, is too damn difficult to throw the fish back or clean up their mess!

Anyway, great pics bro!

OK, weird that you say that.

I found it first with Google earth. Then, for some reason, Google earth disappeared from my computer the next day when I went to look the place over again.

So today I tried to reinstall Earth, and it crashed my system. I had to do a system restore and everything.

I'll wait a week or so and try to load it again and see if they figure the problem out.

Great thread. I live in suburbia but it's amazing how there are little wooded areas here and there where you'll find deer and other wildlife. But I don't know of any hidden areas like the one you found anywhere around here.

sounds awesome! I'll have to see how work/summer classes come together first though.

The wife and I are hosting a gathering/campout memorial weekend right down the road from Enchanted rock. Great little private campground. You guys should come.

A few more pics for anyone interested.

Here's the creekbed you need to cross to get in, the pic does it no justice, the sides are mostly loose sand and about 15 to 20 feet high.

Never seen so many funnel webs before, they're everywhere.

First poison ivy I've seen in Texas. All you east coasters know how weird that is to me.

More to come....

This was pretty cool, one vine completely covered with these guys, none anywhere else.

Proof that bigger snakes roam around here despite the fact that I haven't seen them yet.

Chupacabra track, had to watch my back after finding that one.

More to come....

Some more shots of the pond.

And one of about 5 good sized fishing docks, this being the best of them.

Another dock and in the background you can see three cranes and a few turtles hanging around. This place is so ripe with wildlife, it's amazing.

Hey shotgunner, I live just a bit east of you in the Humble area. I've recently bought my first RAT knife and now I don't got anywhere without it. If y'all are thinking of planning a get-together, I'd be interested.
