A low ride clip!!!!

clip position is the one reason why I shy away from the spydies. Sounds like a great idea:thumbup:

I'm not a fan of knives that sit too low in the pocket. I need a bit of handle sticking out (not too much) so it is easier to pull out. One of my SOG's has a low ride fold over clip and it is a struggle to get the damn thing out of my pocket. I also do not like black clips. I think silver clips look nicer.

However, I do think they should be made as an accessory. Many people seem to want it as evidenced by the positive response on this thread. I vote yes, but only because I'm a team player.

Low-riding clips would be really really great. For me, the Blue Almite Walker needs it most in my collection (hopefully, a low-riding clip could be leveraged for use on this knife, since it is a sprint run). In fact, I was just wondering whether Sal or anybody else @ Spyderco had addressed this often talked about request by Spyderco fans, and its great to see this being discussed.

Thank you!

Great minds do think alike. This thread is proof of it.:D
It is not hard to pull a deep carry knife. I carry IWB. When I want to pull it out I put my thumb down one side of the knife my index fnger down the other and pinch the clip side with my middle finger as it is pulled out.

Some knives are hard to get out regardless of the clip. Slick all metal ones for example. A low rider just compounds the problem on an all stainless or slick titanium scaled model. The ones with tacky G10 there to get your thumb on are no problem to get out though even if they are hanging by a low rider.
