A Natural Pair...

Sunny: Your photos show great detail of Eddies' fine workmanship. He hollow grinds with a 10 inch wheel and stops his grind line right at the top edge of the blade. It takes a steady hand and years of experience. His grind thins the blade to a good working thickness and creates a natural taper to the tip. 440C stainless is an excellent steel and like all of the "modern" steels needs the right heat treatment which Eddie seems to have mastered.

Thank you sir! Great observations and information stated here from another very seasoned maker whom I trust implicitly and whose reputation and integrity is beyond reproach. Thank You very kindly Gerry! My very Best Wishes to you and yours this holiday season and trusting your Christmas was a happy one..

Regards,

Anthony

As best as I can tell from reading the above posts, the model 9 may still be for sale for $95. If that is in fact so (?), I will take it.

Eddie, if it is available, please PM or email me the paypal info, and I will settle right up.

Thanks. :) Email enroute to you.

Although I have not received this knife yet, something tells me I am in for a very rewarding introduction to this maker's work.

This morning I called Eddie to verify some details and had a real pleasant conversation with Eddie and his wife Lora. The goodness of these folks just comes right through the phone line. Add to that the fact that Eddie White has been making knives for a living for over 30 years for some of the big names in the production world, and in my humble opinion, you have an unbeatable combination. He does everything in his own shop, including his well established heat treat of 440C, which I happen to think is one of the best knife steels ever (yes I love D2, 154cm, and S30v also).

Now, as if that's not enough, his knives are very affordable. In fact, I suspect, they are a steal considering this man's grinding experience.

Check this out if you think I'm kidding:

I believe in giving credit where it's well earned. In this case, I'm confident that I like the knife even before it arrives.

Don't miss out on this maker.

I have my first knife from Eddie, now that I have done further cutting and daily usage with it, it is one of the sharpest and  best cutting knives:thumbup: I have ever owned, I would dare say.

I see why this knife comes under the hunter class of knives on Eddies website.

The grind style, type of edge and I would assume the heat treating must be doing something to the 440C it's been outstanding so far.
