A New Folder from CRK

The only refinement I would like to see is flattening out the spine of the blade, other than that..I like it.

Streamline the spine and take the name off of the handle, please. I love the subtle logo on the Sebenza. I'd be much more attracted to the knife if it were less gaudy.

Cool. What I was hoping for!

I have to say, it was extremely disappointed in the knife after handling it. The handle it too aggressive, what is with the Dork Ops glass breaker and the waved spine of the knife.

The simplicity if the Regular and Classic Sebenza were the pinnacle of designs and now this folder is a disappointment.

I think it still has the potential to carry the Sebeza tradition forward. It just needs to lose some of the gimmickry.

Restraint is the great hallmark of the Sebenza's design, and I think the signature of CRK. I would like to see that preserved, at least in the evolution of the basic CRK folders.

Been thinking about this for a week now and my gut feeling is it is too big. I have a Strider SMF and a ZT301; both very big knives and only used on rare occasions. I think I am going to wait and see if a new one comes out. Prefer one bigger than a small Seb and smaller than a large Seb. Current EDC's are a Cook Lochsa and a Mayo TMX and I think their size is ideal.

What's up with CRK too? Biggest news folder wise in years and nothing posted on the website yet. It would be great to see some comments about the design, components, materials etc.

We all know this is going to be a winner for CRK because the Sebenza family has been wildly successful.

we'll see, I'm not that optimistic, considering it's alienating a significant percentage of longtime CRK fans.

I'd like to know where you're obtaining your "significant percentage" figures.

On a side note. . . . .didn't the Umnumzaan win the Blade Show '08 “Overall Knife of the Year” award ?

"Alienating ?"

First, CRK still has the Sebenza line, albeit in the new 21 flavor.

Second, the positive feedback, over the Umnumzaan, around the CRK table at Blade Show definitely offsets the small number of bleeders on this forum and other forums. ;)

When is the release date for this bad boy?

To actually answer your question. . . . .Fall '08.
