A new knife for a new home?

...
Maybe I'll just develop the character of the east coast guy witht he little pocket knife!:D

It's fun to think about what new knives might be nice for moving to Texas, but I think what you said above makes the most sense, Carl. To thine own self be true!:)

Carl, you need a Kephart. Kephart liked his pipe, his whisky, his books and his camping. Give him some bbq from the Lisbon Grill, and a Tacoma truck...

Texas

Think big....

A 5" Toothpick
A nice fancy number to slip inside your boot
Real easy to pinch open

Schatt & Morgan do one in ATS-34

You could do a lot worse than living in central Texas. I love the area and make it a point to mosey out that way pretty often. But be willing to accept the summer heat and humidity. At least you'll have the wind.

Your story of the Toyota-tow reminds me of my own past experiences over several years using a couple of 4-cylinder Toyota trucks and a small camping trailer in the southern Rockies. I recall always making it to the top of the hill but patience was not just a virtue, it was a necessity. Especially in a head wind.

Hope the Texas move works out for you.
